I made the most amazing memories spending time in the city that never sleeps this past weekend. Not even the frigid weather and high winds could get in the way of my excitement of having the opportunity to explore my favorite city with my dad. We fully embraced our tourist tendencies and did not waste a single moment.
Being the shopping addict that I am, I could not resist the opportunity to hit up a few stores in between museum visits, brunches, interviews and sightseeing. With spring break only a week away, I picked up an awesome red jumper from Free People for nights on the beach (https://www.freepeople.com/shop/fpx-eileen-romper/) and new jeans from Anthropologie ( https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/pilcro-script-high-rise-high-low-skinny-jeans?category=denim-skinny-jeans&color=092). I am obsessed with patched jeans, as denim details are very on-trend right now. I also got a new pair of sneakers (pictured above) because one can never have too many pairs of Adidas.
My favorite part of the weekend, by far, was visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I am a huge fan of the Met Gala and have admired the event from afar for many years. Having the opportunity to see the most visited museum in the world was surreal. Upon my arrival, however, I was very disappointed to learn that the Anna Wintour Costume Exhibit (the exhibit I was most excited to experience) was closed as they begin to prepare for this year's new exhibit. Nonetheless, it gives me an excuse to come back in May.
The remarkable views and unparalleled experiences are bound to make for an unforgettable summer. I am so excited to have the opportunity to spend my summer months exploring NYC and learning everything possible about the fashion industry. Seeing my dreams come to life is truly the most incredible feeling, and I am so eager to begin a new chapter of my life in the city that never sleeps.
