Out and About: NYC Style

Isabel Kosar

Following the heatwave in NYC last week, I was so relieved when the temperatures dropped again and I was able to throw on a jacket for dinner. There is nothing worse than 90 degree heat in the city, especially when your whole closet consists of jackets.

I am loving neutral colors mixed with statement pieces lately. Simplicity always wins (well, most of the time). For this outfit in particular, I paired a super comfortable pair of pants from Zara (shop here) with a cream blouse and jacket, both from my favorite boutique at home, Haven. Side note: Haven has the BEST clothing selection in Cleveland, everyone should check it out... The majority of my wardrobe is from there.

My studded Sol Sana booties are no longer being sold, but they are my favorite pair of shoes I own (also acquired from Haven). These shoes are not only super fun but also incredibly comfortable. I highly recommend checking out the brand Sol Sana for great, durable shoes. Senso is another brand, similar to Sol Sana, that sells great shoes. They are certainly out of the ordinary, but totally worth it!

I am definitely a gold jewelry type of girl; I like to stick to either gold or silver most of the time but I'm certainly not opposed to a little combination of both! The mismatched look is super in right now. My gold chain link bracelet is from Madewell and I currently can't get myself to take it off. I love the thickness and durability of it especially next to my dainty chain link bracelet and evil eye bracelet. I bought the two smaller bracelets at a local art and flea market but you can shop the Madewell bracelet here

So far, New York is treating me well! I am having so much fun learning the city and finding my way around. I'm slowly but surely figuring out what it's like to live in this bustling city, although I can't deny I miss the tranquility of home!
